Eric Duncan

Singer/guitarist/songwriter Eric Duncan was born in Aberdeen, Scotland. He has been a resident of the U.S. the past sixteen years. In 1994 he was inducted into the North Carolina Scottish Hall of Fame. He lives in Palm Bay, Florida.

Eric began playing guitar when he was fourteen and entertained at many clubs aand gatherings in Scotland, including the Scottish Variety Theatre, folk music clubs, and Scottish festivals.

In the U.S he has performed at several Highland Games including Orlando, Dunedin, Grandfather Mountain, Treasure Island, Panama City, and Melbourne; Burns Supper gatherings in Jackson, Miss and other places; and at countless Ceilidhs. He has performed at Disney World and has recorded three tapes of Scottish songs including three original compositions.

In addition to traditional Scottish ballads, always a hit no matter where they're sung, Eric is a versatile entertainer who performs country, standards and all varieties of music including traditional Spanish guitar.

He has been involved with the sea in his career, working as a ship's rigger and becoming a merchant marine. Eric is a nurse who works with adolescents who have drug, alcohol and behavioral problems. Eric holds musical and woodcrafting workshops for his patients.
