George and Carol are veterans in the recording field, maintaining a project studio and operating American Thistle Records. They have four albums to their credit, "Plain Brown Wrapper" and "Scotch On the Rocks" both released in 1997, "Tartan Ball" (1996) and "I Want To Be In Scotland" (1995). Also available from American Thistle Records is "Tug" (1989), a collection of original New England folk songs that George wrote and performs with Lazy Mercedes.
George is a member of the Scottish Music Hall Society, which was founded in Sir Harry Lauder's birthplace, Portobello, Scotland. The Society exists to preserve and advance Scottish Music Hall, variety performers and artifacts past, present, and future. They promote lectures, displays and variety shows and through their efforts, a Harry Lauder commemorative plaque is being installed at the Portobello Town Hall. Together, the Worthleys share the Maine State Commissionership for Clan Farquharson USA and Clan Chattan Conferderation. They are active in the Saint Andrews Societies of Maine and New Hampshire. They are also avid tartan collectors, having over one hundred examples displayed in their home.
