They gained national attention after they appeared on CBS's "This Morning" with Paula Zahn and Harry Smith. They also performed in the movie "Back to the Future, III", and have almost become fixtures at Fitzgerald's Casino in Reno, The Maritime museum in San Francisco and the Sacramento Railroad Museum.

To date the band has produced six albums. They are a band of limitless energy, who are equally at home on the Concert stage or playing in a traditional Irish pub. Their music ranges from rollicking sea chanties to plaintive Scottish ballads.

At a recent concert in the Sacramento Valley of California, the Black Irish Band played to standing room only.
