Danu
During this exciting new band's first tour of the States in March
1997, they played to packed houses and enthusiastic audiences each
night. Danu is a great young band from Ireland, known for its
driving rhythm section. Members came together from two bands in 1996,
one from Dublin and the other from Waterford. They teamed up to play
the 26th Annual Celtic Festival in Lorient, France, where they won the
competition and have been invited back as headliners. The music is
powerful. The singing is in Gaelic and English, and they present a
rollicking show.
