Caliban
Lief Sorbye and Michael Mullen, who are also known as members of the Celtic rock band Tempest, have performed together since 1992, when Michael first left Fresno, California, to join with Tempest. In order to facilitate playing in a more intimate setting, they've pared the group down to a duo and manage to maintain the excitement and energy which is a trademark of a Tempest performance. Caliban exhibits a mastery of Irish, Scottish and Norwegian folk styles, and succeeds with flair and fun in the foot-tapping reels and jigs.
