Ros Geal
Ros Geal is a Jacobite group depicting family life during the time of Scotland's great revolt against England in the mid-18th Century. The name Jacobite is derived from the exiled King James whose name his supporters adopted. The 1745 period in Scotland is mainly known for the great military campaigns of Charles Stuart. But, the focus of Ros Geal is not military, but rather to portray the different aspects of family life in both the Highlands and the Lowlands. Demonstrations include arts and crafts, music, all classes of dress, as well as traditional weapons.
