Otago Centre Piping and Dancing Association
87th Annual Championships

On Queen's Birthday Weekend, 29/31 May 1998, the Otago Centre of the Piping & Dancing Association held its 87th Annual Championship competitions at the College of Education, Dunedin. The programme included New Zealand Championships in both Solo Piping and Highland and National Dancing.

Solo Piping entries totalled 598 from 100 pipers in 23 events, judged by P/M Alasdair Gillies (ex Scotland, now of USA), Mr Donald Bain (Temuka), and Dr Warwick Johnson (Dunedin).
