Some very general rules govern all advertising on HIGHLANDNET. You should be aware of them before you proceed:

(1) Accuracy of advertising copy is your responsibility, not ours. If you provide copy with a mistake in it, and we print it, overcoming any resultant difficulties are up to you, not us. If you provide misleading copy, and we run it, and later become aware of its inaccuracies, we will pull the plug and delete it, with no refund due. If you correct the misleading aspects of your ad, we'll pick up where we left off and put your corrected ad back in.

(2) Ad copy is limited in number of words of copy.

(3) Ad copy must be submitted in writing to this address. Payment must accompany copy or your ad will not run.H

(4) HIGHLANDNET reserves the right to edit ad copy for space, clarity, or for any other purpose. We'll try to get in touch with you in order to be sure our changes don't change your message- but, we'll do so by email (not by telephone) in order to hold costs down. We do not obligate ourselves in any way to clear these changes (if any) with you: we simply promise to try to reach you if possible.

(5) HIGHLANDNET will not act as an intermediary between an advertiser and a web browser. We'll print an advertiser's telephone number or any other information to assist potential customers in reaching you- but, ultimately, whether they do so or not is up to you and the customer.

(6) HIGHLANDNET acts as no more than a conduit between you, the advertiser, and your potential customers. We accept no liability or responsibility for any difficulties, legal or otherwise, you may encounter as a result of running your ad on HIGHLANDNET; nor do we make any claims or promises that running your ad on HIGHLANDNET will provide any real or intangible benefits to you or your business.

(7) By sending your ad copy and your payment to HIGHLANDNET, you acknowledge your agreement with these procedural rules and your promise to adhere to them.

ADVERTISING rates

(a) Our web site isn't free and we'd like to cover our expenses.
(b) We'd rather have a whole lot of stuff in our website, so you and others will browse through it frequently because it's full of new and exciting information, than a dull, boring and empty website which has priced itself out of the ad market.
(c) We don't want to quit our day jobs and have no plans to buy out Bill Gates.
